At Playwell, we provide evidence-based information and foster an environment of acceptance and understanding for families navigating their feeding journeys.

We believe in partnering with each family to develop individualized plans for feeding success, recognizing that every experience is unique.

Our team is dedicated to supporting caregivers with questions about the best ways to feed their babies.

We offer guidance on a variety of topics, including:

  • Prenatal consultations

  • Newborn feeding

  • Breastfeeding/chestfeeding during pregnancy

  • Pumping strategies

  • Breastfeeding/chestfeeding older infants

  • Inducing lactation and relactating

  • Pre/post strategies for tongue/lip/buccal restrictions (“tongue/lip tie”)

  • Bottlefeeding difficulties (“bottle refusal”)

Whether you choose to breast/chest-feed or use formula, need assistance with a back-to-work plan, or are looking for a weaning strategy, we are here to provide the support you need every step of the way.

You may benefit from an in-home lactation consultation if you:

  • Are experiencing pain during feeding

  • Have concerns about your baby's weight

  • Have been advised to provide supplemental feedings

  • Are worried about your milk supply

  • Faced challenges with a previous baby

  • Want an assessment for "tongue-tie"

  • Are "triple feeding" (feeding from the body, pumping, and bottle feeding)

  • Feel like you are feeding your baby around the clock

  • Notice your baby is gassy or colicky

  • Seek reassurance that everything is going well

  • Feel overwhelmed, tired, and unsure if you’re feeding your baby “the right way”

  • Need support with weaning

  • Desire to feel supported and heard in your breast/chest feeding and postpartum experience

Please submit this form for The Lactation Network (TLN), our billing partner for BCBS and Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, Tricare and other insurances.

  • TLN will respond with a determination in about an hour on weekdays.

  • After you hear back from TLN, please book below using the Request Appointment button above if coverage is confirmed.

 Self pay:

$250 home visit.

We will provide you with a superbill/invoice that you can submit for reimbursement.
